Use triggers to automatically start a build pipeline based on a code push or the execution of another pipeline. You can also schedule a pipeline to run at a specific day and time.
You can add the following types of triggers to a build pipeline.
On Push Launch the build pipeline automatically if new code is committed for an application component.
Pipeline Launch a build pipeline automatically once another build or deployment pipeline has successfully executed. This allows you to automatically execute a sequence of pipelines with no manual intervention required.
Scheduled Schedule a build pipeline to run at a specific day and time.
Click the Build tab. Clickto create a new build pipeline or click Edit on an existing pipeline.
Add an On Push Trigger
You must add an application component to a Code step before you can select it as a trigger.
Drag an On Push trigger from the sidebar and drop it on the start step. Select an application component, then click Save.
You can also add an On Push trigger in a Code step. Just click on the application component card and an On Push trigger is automatically added to the start step.
Add a Pipeline Trigger
Drag a Pipeline trigger from the sidebar and drop it on the start step. Select the build or deployment pipeline to use as the trigger, then click Save.
Add a Scheduled Trigger
Drag a Scheduled trigger from the sidebar and drop it on the start step. Enter the day and time when you want to pipeline to execute. You can enter a specific date or a date relative to the current date and time. Click Save.
