Use a Stop step to automatically halt the execution of a pipeline at any point in the workflow. For example, you could automatically stop the pipeline if a build fails or if an approval isn’t received. If the Stop step is executed, the pipeline history will show that the pipeline was stopped via the Stop task.

Click the Build tab. Clickto create a new build pipeline or click Edit on an existing pipeline.

Add a Stop step or click an existing Stop step. Enter the reason for stopping the pipeline. When you’re done, click Save.
