In order to connect to your Microsoft Azure account, ShuttleOps requires your Azure subscription ID. ShuttleOps interacts with your Microsoft Azure account through a service principal, which defines the permissions ShuttleOps has in Azure. You can connect multiple Azure subscriptions to ShuttleOps.

Connect an Azure Account

Click the Connect tab, then click Connect on the Azure card.

 

If you’ve already created an Azure connection and want to add another connection, click + Add New. Enter the following information. When you’re done, click Save.

 

Name Enter a name for the connection. This name is used to identify the connection in ShuttleOps.

Subscription ID  Enter your Microsoft Azure Subscription ID.

Azure CLI Output (JSON)  Use Azure CLI to create a service principal. When creating the service principal, make sure to use the --role="Contributor" argument. Enter the output of the service principal call from Azure CLI in this field.

Set as Default Select this checkbox to select this connection as your default Azure connection.

Change Your Azure Connection Settings

Click the Connect tab, then click Edit on the Azure tab. Select an Azure connection from the list. You can modify the following information. When you’re done, click Save.

Subscription ID  Enter your Microsoft Azure Subscription ID.

Azure CLI Output (JSON) Use Azure CLI to create a service principal. When creating the service principal, make sure to use the --role="Contributor" argument. Enter the output of the service principal call from Azure CLI in this field.

Set as Default Select this checkbox to select this connection as your default Azure connection.

Delete an Azure Connection

Click the Connect tab, then click Edit on the Azure card. Select an Azure connection from the list, then click Delete Credential Set. Click Delete to confirm.
